Boondocks

~ Labor Day Weekend ~

We met Grandma and Papa Kierstead at Boondocks to celebrate the kids' birthdays. We miniature golfed, raced the cars, rode the bumper boats, and played in the arcade. We ended up at Wingers for dinner and the kids opened there gifts. What a fun day!
Corbin LOVED miniature golf.

He was obviously very excited about his new Wii game.

On the second day of Kindergarten...

When Marley got home from her second day of preschool kindergarten she was SO excited. The second she got out of the car she yells "I learned out to do the monkey bars by myself today!" Of course, she spoke so fast I made her repeat herself a few times before I finally got it. She's been working on this during the summer but apparently all she needed was a couple days of kindergarten and she got it! Nice job, little one!

Um, now what? Just kidding, Colt was right there to help her down. It's crazy, she's growing up so fast! This will be a fun school year, I can already tell!

ps Yes, I typed preschool when I originally posted it. (Thanks Britt for letting me know :) I just don't want this little girl to grow up, I guess. Oh well, nothing I can do to stop it, right?

Kindergarten

Bub was doing a "2" and she was trying to do a "K". We know what she means, right?

Finally, getting ready!

Everything is a thumbs up with this girl. She was so excited to get to school.

I don't know what it is with this girl but I'm having a harder time sending her off then I did Corbin. Maybe it's because it means we only have one more left at home. I'm not sure?

With our neighbor boy, Dawson. They're in the same class, with a few others from our ward.

Getting her name tag.

"I got my name tag!" She's so happy.

The first day of Kindergarten was great. She's loves school and is meeting new friends. Good job, Marley!

2nd Grade

My little man is in 2nd grade! Where does time go? He was very excited.

That's a 2 for second grade, not peace. Although, peace is good.

Marley was up and ready with Corbin. She was pretty upset that she couldn't go to morning kindergarten. As the week went on she was ok with it. Must have been first day excitement.

I couldn't believe the weather this day. Rainy, ALL DAY. It's never like this, at least not that I remember.

Corbin had a great first day of school. He said that second grade is better then first. Maybe because in 2nd grade you get these cool planners to keep track of your homework. I am happy he feels that way.

her party!

~ Birthday Girl ~

Marley got a Hello Kitty basket for her bike. Too bad for her it got ran over just two days before her birthday. It's totaled. This is a look of "Ya, I know, I shouldn't have put it behind the van." If you've seen previous posts of how much she loves her bike (especially now that there are no training wheels) you would know how devastating this event was. Mostly for me.

She got jewelery.

A book, a CD, and a CD player.

Clothes and a baby doll.

Happy Birthday, Little Jo Jo!!!

She's FIVE!

I can't believe it's been five years since we've had our baby girl, Marley Jo. What an adventure it has been, she's definitely entertaining! Happy Birthday to my sweet girl, I love you!!!

Her birthday then...

Her birthday, 2010.
(I've been a little emotional with this particular birthday. Feeling a little melancholy.)

the friends

We had such a good morning. The girls really like the games, that made me feel good. I get a little worried entertaining a bunch of little ones.
