Annual Coloring Contest

12/10/2010

Daddy, Marley, & Corbin delivering pictures in town.
This is a fun tradition we have. The kids look forward to it every year!

Just one of the many pictures they colored.

This was out at the nursery in Elwood. They sell real Christmas trees and it smelt sooo good out there. Very pretty, too. It makes me think that next year I will want a real tree from this place.

Their cute sucker prizes for coloring the pictures for the Mountain View Nursery.

a little piece of Emma

12/6/10
She's hiding, that's right, hiding. I'm sure that is the Shrek movie on her lap.
 12/7/10
Watching Shrek with her baby on her lap.

She was actually dressed that day, she just found those pant/shorts that she loves so much. Yes, seriously, they're 0-3 months.

12/9/10
She is such a helper. This is her "job". Whenever anyone takes the garbage out she quickly gets to work putting the sack in the garbage. She's so proud.

Such a big helper!!

Napping. Doesn't look comfy to me so I did lay her down after the picture.

Sunday fun!

 12/5/10
Our kids love to draw, it makes me so happy to have creative little kids. It's also fun to see their imaginations in their creations.

Marley drew the family wearing Colts horse shoes.  Tink is "hairy" on the bottom right. I should have taken a close up of her picture.

Corbin drew Emma on that day, the bow in the hair and everything. Emma thought this was pretty cool.

"Emma"

Emma is just funny. She put these pants on that she wore when she was a brand new baby. They still fit, only now they're Bermuda shorts. She thinks it's pretty cool. And there is Bubba in the back drawing.
Such good kids!

the Lolly-Pop game

12/2/10

"I rock at this game!" Marley says.

Here's how it works. You take your index finger and circle it around someones face (no need to touch the face) saying "Lolly, lolly, lolly," then you clap directly in front of the face at the same time saying "POP!" The person who blinks at the "POP" looses. Seems simple enough, right?

Well this particular day right before Kindergarten Marley had her Daddy and I laughing pretty hard. She is SO entertaining. Here are some pics of Marley playing the Lolly-Pop game... first with herself, when she rocks. I have the picture to prove it.

"Lolly, lolly, lolly..."

"POP!" See? Eyes, open. She does rock!... until she plays with Daddy...

"Lolly, lolly, lolly..."

"POP!" Looks like Daddy won this one.
I love her face in this last picture. I love her dimples, she's so cute!

Let's Cuddle

11/29/2010
Emma loves her Tinker Bell.
 11/29/2010
Marley loves her Bun Bun.

Tinker Bell loves to cuddle. She is in there somewhere, you can barely see her nose poking out of my blanket. I've never had a dog that would sleep under a blanket. I don't know if it's because it's cold now but she does this a lot. She's a baby! :)

Thanksgiving 2010

11/25/2010

Good morning, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Colt started out his morning playing is yearly Turkey Bowl game while the kids and I played, watched the Macy's Day Parade on TV and packed for our trip to SL.

Emma thought it was pretty cool "Panda" was on TV, too.  We had to keep watching this part a few times, she loved it.
We met Grandma and Grandpa Kierstead and went to Golden Corral for Thanksgiving lunch/dinner. It was SO yummy and crowded, although we didn't have to wait that long for a table. This seems to be the new tradition for many people. We had a good time. Then we went back to their house to watch movies and visit. We had a very nice time with them.

Grandma and the kids.

"It's Turkey day! Gobble, gobble."
Then we headed down town to stay at a hotel. We stayed at the Sheraton, it was so nice. Our plan was to get up the next morning and meet Grandma and Grandpa for a movie at the Gateway.

the Girlies

The kids loved the room. For a week Marley kept asking "When are we going to stay at the apartment?" When we got there she loved it so much. They both decided they wanted to move there. They had a good time.

Marley is such a little model.

We got to the hotel a little late and we were a little hungry. The only place around that was open was Denny's. Corbin ate his food pretty quickly, he was super hungry.

Marley didn't eat anything but a couple of grapes. This is about the time she started getting sick. She ended up being sick all night and we had to go home first thing in the morning. We didn't get to see the movie but we will definitely see it (Tangled) this month, we promised.

Emma throwing a fit because I wouldn't let her take off her shoes and socks. She was sooo tired.

Good morning, Salt Lake!
Other then Marley getting sick Thanksgiving night, we had a wonderful time. Emma was the only other one that got sick, the following Saturday night, but the rest of us have been lucky so far.
We hope everyone else had a good Thanksgiving!!

Miss Marley absolutely loves school. She's doing so well and is my little social butterfly.

These are the words she's working on for October - December. When I tell her to write the word she can all by herself. She can read them, too. Now we are working on words for January. I'm so glad she likes to learn.

This little one has also changed so much since school has started. She seems so grown up. I love this girl!
