I have a "friend" on Facebook who every Monday he writes a little note about what they did for Family Home Evening and the events that happened. I thought I'd do that on my blog/journal, something fun/cute might happen that I will want to share with the kids when they're older.
Tonight we talked about Enos and things that go with him... prayer, repentance, faith, and keeping the commandments. We talked about the commandments and this was the "sweet" part I wanted to remember. "Honor thy Mother and Father" - I asked them what this means.
Corbin answered "Being nice to our Mother and Father in Heaven and our Mother and Father on earth." Obviously I only expected half of that answer. I was so impressed I asked him to repeat it, he did and then he says "Did I hit the nail on the head, Mom?" :) He's awesome.
We played a board game called Book of Mormon Jungle Journey (which I always lose, like last place lose) and then Corbin tried teaching me and Colt how to spin a die like a top. I was so impressed with this little talent that he has. Even Marley did it a few times. It's pretty cool.
Here is the die in (fast) motion. Strange, isn't it? We had a good night. I appreciate it when our kids behave during our FHE - it makes me look forward to the following week.
