April 2010

~ April Randomness ~

Looking back, April seemed to be a pretty fun month. It's great to have pictures to remind you.

... Emma's new thing, making a circle with her fingers. We would break the circle with our own finger and then tickle her 'til she couldn't handle it ...

... Where's Emma? ...

... There she is!! ...

... Corbin has been doing so well at school. As you can see his little "dots" are way above where he needs to be. We're so proud of him, great job buddy!!

~ April 10, 2010 ~

What a special day it was for the Howard family. We had two baptisms on the same day. Tyler that morning and shortly after we headed South to Emily's. We still have two more later this year - Rylee in June and Corbin in October. What a great year!

Erin ~ Emily ~ Corbin ~ Rylee ~ Taylor

... I've planned this since these four were babies, couldn't wait to get a picture of the four of them together at their baptisms. Well because Tyler had his family party he was unable to make it to Emily's and because Emily was getting ready for her baptism they weren't able to make it to Tyler's. Maybe at the next one!! ...

~ April 13th ~

Corbin has his special day at school and was so excited to take his poster. His dad put a lot of work into it. I decided to laminate it just in case he'd need it again down the road. Or in case we ever get to Indianapolis for a game. It was so fun going through pictures. It made me decide to print pictures and have on hand in books, just so I can look at them more often and remember when.

... Explaining his pictures to the class ...

... Any questions? ...

~ April 13th... still ~

For the month of April our ward is in charge of doing Family Home Evening at the old citizens home. This particular night the Primary Presidency planned the lesson and invited a few kids to sing songs. The lesson was on Prophets. It was a good experience for the kids. I think they had fun.

... Emma & Daddy, she was trying to be so patient. She saw the bananas and oranges in the centers kitchen and she so badly wanted to partake. She did very well listening to all of the verses of "Follow the Prophet" as well as scriptures, especially considering she was beginning to get a fever. (Yes, another ear infection was headed our way!) ...

... This is a funny picture. See the little lady in the red jacket so lovingly staring at the kids? Well this is "Grandma Payne". She loved the kids, every single one of them. She would hug them, kiss and pinch their cheeks, and say "I'm your grandma, too!" My older two were ok with it, as confusing as this may have been, but when she got to Emma... oh boy. For any of you that know my Emma she is a Grandma's girl and a very shy girl added to that.

When this lady kissed her on the cheek and repeatedly said "I'm your Grandma" you could see the horror and panic on my poor baby's face. I tried to hurry away before Emma had a breakdown while trying not to hurt this sweet woman's feelings. Plus she was getting a fever at the same time so I'm sure you could imagine the state of my baby.

Happy April!

Easter 2010

~ April 3, 2010 ~

Saturday is the annual Easter Egg Hunt here in town. The kids, as always, made a haul. It was just too bad there was snow on the ground. It was way cold so we came home and Daddy made us colored pancakes for breakfast while we watched the morning session of General Conference.

... the kids and their treasure ...

... pancakes and fruit, yumm-o!! ...

... Emma loves her fruit! ...

Later that day we went to SL to visit Grandma and Grandpa K. They had baskets for each of the kids over flowing with treats. These kids are spoiled!!

... she's still unsure of what is going on, give her a minute ...

Christmas with the Howards

~ Dec. 26, 2009 ~

This years Howard Christmas Party was held at Leslie and Jareds church. Our Howard family seems to grow each year so we thought a church house might be the best place to fit every one. This was the first year we've done the party at church and I think it went well. There was plenty of room and it was still lots of fun.

... This was Colts big surprise this year. I'm sure this gift was more for me then him but I believe he still loved it. I printed family pics and put them in this beautiful frame. I had this planned since October, go me! ...

And last but not least my absolute FAVORITE gift I've received all year long. Colt surprised me with my 'blog book'. He had my past blog printed into this amazing book, I had no clue what he had planned. This is the motivation I have to keep blogging. It's a great journal with pictures - that makes it even better! As I read through this book I found stories that I had otherwise forgotten about. I loved this gift the best and yes, it made me cry. Those are the best gifts ever!!!

Merry Christmas.
