Emma Girl

She's so funny!
10/19/10

10/20/10

I do not know how she can nap like this but I wasn't about to move her. :)

The idea crossed my mind but I didn't really believe it was possible. Who would have thought that a new bed (twin instead of toddler) would help this little one go to sleep on her own again??? She is now going to sleep without screaming for hours at a time and she's taking naps again, too. She will even go in and lay on her pillow all by herself again. No more laying her down and running out of the room without looking back while she is chasing me, screaming. Those heart break days are over!!

She loves her new bed and I am extremely grateful!!

And the winner is...

... MARLEY!!
(wearing her Halloween cheerleader costume. :)

She won the coloring contest for the book fair at school and won a 5 dollar coupon for the book fair. She was VERY excited and said that everyone in her class clapped for her. They only picked one kindergartener from the afternoon (and morning of course), so there was a lot to choose from. She said that this was the best day ever!

Flag Football 2010... Game Five

10/18/10

Corbin (left), Tyler running with the ball (right)

Corbin landing after pulling a flag.

I realize there's not much to see in this picture. On the other side of White/#10, Corbin is on the ground after catching an interception which resulted in Tyler scoring a touchdown. I should have counted Corbin's interceptions but I didn't think he would have so many. Now I know for next year. "Corbin Island Baby!!"

Tyler (#1), Corbin and Colt celebrating the interception/touchdown.

Good job, boys!!

Conversations with Marley

I was just showing Marley that super cute picture of her and Brittany (see following post) and I said.

"Look at you cute girls, she's your cousin."

Marley: No she's not.

Mom: Yes she is.

Marley: No, that's Brittany.

Mom: Ya, she's your cousin.

Marley: No she's not, she's my aunt.

Are you OK with that, Britt, if she calls you her aunt?? =)

Marley's Kindergarten Field Trip

Wednesday ~ October 13, 2010

We started out touring the Bear River Hospital. We went into the area where they look at your blood and since Emma has had so much blood work this year we know the area quite well. Poor Marley whispers to me "Are we looking at Emma's blood?"

My niece, Brittany, works at the hospital. I was hoping we'd get to see her but I had no idea where her office was. Lucky for us she passed us in the hallway. Marley thought this was pretty cool. So did I!

Marley & Brittany... kinda strange that these two are cousins, huh? =) Love it!

Marley & Emma
Next, we went to Selman's Pumpkin Patch. They let the kids pick their own pumpkin to take home.

She found her pumpkin!

Getting on the bus with their pumpkins.

Then we went to Logan and visited the Logan Fire Station.

Marley walking through the ambulance.

These are the triplets that Marley has become best friends with. Colt coached their older sister baseball in 2009 so we have met them before. We new they'd be in the same grade but we are so lucky they're in the same class. Marley loves these kids and talks about them all time.

Then we headed to Willow Park where we had a picnic, played, and walked around and looked at the animals.

Emma, Marley, Kaden, Sarah, Kellen
Our cute little neighbor boys are also in Marley's class. They're all such good friends, it's fun to have so many good kids in our neighborhood.
Tasian, Dawson, Marley
I was so lucky to be able to go with Marley on this field trip. And I was even more lucky that she wanted me there. =)

Flag Football 2010... Game Four

10/11/10
I didn't get very many good pictures of this game. It was a fun game and they won... barely. Colt ended up coaching the other team (again) and Jon coached ours. It was close, a little too close. But yes, still fun.

Corbin after a catch a long run. Those are his flags he's walking away from.

Corbin is a great defensive player. Here he is laying on the ground. He just pulled someones flag and took them to the ground. They're red flags, he's still laying on them.
"Revis Corbin Island, baby!!"

Conversations with Marley

Picture this...
Marley sitting on the bathroom counter - while I'm doing her hair for school - staring wide eyed into the mirror.

Marley: What color are your eyes?

Mom: Blue.

Marley: Mine are blue and white. That's because I'm a COLTS fan.

=)
